A European Summer
We've just returned home from a wonderful summer (our Australian winter) tour with our great friend Hannah Aldridge. We'll never forget the warm welcome we received from the people of Sweden, Norway, Scotland and England - and we simply can't wait to return in 2023. Visit LB's instagram for a detailed rundown of the tour.
England Swings
Our first UK visit for 2022 (and first international tour since 2019!) has left us feeling refreshed and energised. It was such a thrill to share a physical with so many of you who've stayed connected to us over the internet for the past three years. It was also great to meet and play for so many new folks - particularly in the North of England where we are starting to feel very much at home. Thank you to the wonderful Dan Webster and Emily Lawler who joined us on this tour, and cemented their position as lifelong friends.
Tamworth - finally...
After two years of delays and cancellations, the 50th Tamworth Country Music Festival finally happened (in April, no less!) and it was worth the wait. This was a special week - one of celebration and reunion, and we were thrilled to be part of it. Congratulations to The Wolfe Brothers, who beat us to the Group/Duo of the Year Golden Guitar - if there are a nicer group of guys out there playing country music to stadiums then we are yet to meet them! Thanks to all the wonderful fans and fellow artists who continue to make the pilgrimage to Tamworth every year - let's do fifty more!
A Second ARIA #1 for the Year!
We were surprised and thrilled to learn that our new record As Long as it’s Not Us debuted at #1 on the ARIA Official Country Albums Chart, and #5 on the Australian Albums Chart across all genres. The record also debuted at #3 on the AIR independent albums chart behind the wonderful new album from Vika and Linda Bull. We’d like to say a big thank you to all those who pre-ordered the album and also to Social Family Records for their wonderful work getting this record out into the world.
A New Studio Album
As Long As It's Not Us is our first studio album since 2018's Some Girls (Quite) Like Country Music. It's been a labour of love, made before and during Covid. It documents the highest highs and lowest lows that any of us in the band have felt, reflecting the choices and changes we have made, and those that have been made for us. At it's heart it is euphoric and uplifting, but it also plunges into darkness at certain moments. We'd love you come on the ride with us.
IN THE FAMILY
We're pleased to let you know that we've just penned a multi album deal with Social Family Records. At a time when we’re more creatively inspired than ever, it’s great to be surrounded by a team that lives and breathes music the same way that we do! In the words of Social Family Records’ Label manager, Nardia Drayton: “I’m a huge fan of their music and couldn’t be happier to have Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes as an official part of our family”. Stay tuned for lots of new music in the coming months and years!
Double J High Rotation
We're thrilled that the good folks at Double J have added 'You Remind me of Myself' to High Rotation. Check out their Best New Music Spotify playlisthere.
DRUNKEN PIANO BAR LIVESTREAM
You can catch Lachlan Bryan's Drunken Piano Bar every Monday Night (at 10pm Sydney time) on facebook live. Just be sure to 'like' the Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes Facebook page and/or join the mailing list for updates. I stream the show from behind my grandmother's upright piano - and perform requests sent in by the online audience. Special guests on the show so far have included Kevin Bennett, Hannah Aldridge, Catherine Britt, Henry Wagons and Alan Caswell, as well as regular segments from Damian and Shaun.
UK FESTIVALS & TOUR POSTPONED
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the postponement of our May dates in the UK. We have already had word that one of our July festivals has been cancelled and we anticipate the rest of our July trip will also be cancelled or postponed. However we are currently trying to reschedule ebverything as best we can. We miss our friends and fans in the UK and Europe so much, and our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. We will be back together soon. In the meantime, stay safe and keep in touch.

We're thrilled that The Road was selected as a finalist for Song of the Year on Double J's Tower of Song program, alongside the likes of Jordie Lane, Charlie Collins, Lost Ragas and more. Listen to the end of year show here!
Red Right Hand
We covered one of our favourite songs, by one of our favourite writers, for The Moonshine Sessions in Nottingham, England recently. We also recorded a live version of 'Careless Hearts' from 'Some Girls (Quite) Like Country Music'. You can check out both performances here.
Rhythms Magazine Tour Diary
When the band was in Europe, Lachlan kept a tour diary for Rhythms Magazine. It features as a three page spread in this month's edition, which is out now. Subscribe to the magazine here and keep great music journalism alive!
The Road Premieres on Double J
We have not one but two new singes headed out into the ether soon. The first of those, titled The Road, premieres on Double J Radio's Tower of Song program with Henry Wagons on Monday May 6th between 8pm and 10pm. You can tune in to hear it live or on demand by clicking here! The Road and it's compatriot Take it Out on Me will be available soon for streming and download - join our mailing list for updates on the new music headed your way.
MAVERICK FESTIVAL AND RETURN TO UK/EUROPE
For the third consecutive year we'll be playing at Maverick Fest - the UK's first and favourite Americana music festival. We'll be joined there by our good friends Imogen Clark and Hannah Aldridge, as well as Rich Hall, Chance McCoy, The Black Feathers and many more. Imogen will also be joining us for a series of dates across the UK and Europe - check the tour dates section of our website for further details.

We're thrilled to be nominated for Independent Country Album of the Year for 2019. THE FRIENDS & ACQUAINTANCES TOUR
The band and I are teaming up with Newcastle's Ben Leece & Left of the Dial for our biggest East Coast tour in some time. We kick off in Tamworth on the Easter weekend and wind up in Bendigo in early June (for a big end of tour party/festival with a bunch of our favourite acts). In between times we'll be playing the Candelo Village Festival and immediately after the tour we play the Southern Lights Festival in Gippsland, Victoria - followed by the Red Country Music Festival in Port Hedland, WA.
